Wait a minute! I am not a climber…why should I take this course?
Reason #1: "I am a health care provider who wants to learn about a fascinating subject taught by experts who climb!" Whether you are seasoned at altitude, or wish to try a new adventure, our refreshing, hands-on approach will increase your confidence in the backcountry. You might practice medicine in the lowlands, yet one of your patients might want to know about mountain illnesses before their next ski trip, or trek. This course will prepare you for topics related to high altitude medicine and patient care. further If you are a physician, resident, medical student, nurse, EMS provider, or mountaineer ready for an "in-depth" high altitude experience, this course is for you! Reason #2: "It is in Chamonix, France!" Chamonix is world-famous for its scenery and extreme ruggedness, yet with so many accessible venues in a true, one of a kind alpine setting and rich culture!
